*New Feature* - Beautiful Lincolnshire Homes - Kate's House

*New Feature* Beautiful Lincolnshire Homes - Kate's House

This is the first in our series of Lincolnshire beautiful homes. As we know a lot of people who have some lovely home interiors, I thought it would be nice to feature them and share their ideas with you. I mean who doesn't like to have a flick through some pictures to be inspired by someone else's style?

The first house I've viewed is lived in by a family of four. It's in the middle of the Lincolnshire countryside with nothing but fields surrounding it. The interior is welcoming and calm. You wouldn't know a one year old and 3 year old live here! Kate has painted the entire house in lovely Farrow and Ball shades and they are complimented by a light carpet that runs through her home. Kate admits herself that her home decor is inspired by grey shades. She just adores them!
With all of the beautiful windows, the house is filled with a natural light that pours around all of Kate's beautiful furniture.

Kate's house is so homely. I think the AGA helps with that. The warmth they produce hits you as you enter her large kitchen and your toes are so cosy walking across the tiled floor. This kitchen oozes farmhouse glamour with Emma Bridgewater crockery displayed, large candles, wooden accessories, a large church pew and family dining table.
This is the centre of the home and so it should be. I love kitchens, you always congregate in them.

Her reception rooms are stylish and simple. There aren't lots of knickknacks around but her simplicity in nice furniture shows off the rooms well.
The sitting room houses two chairs I love in particular which Kate has painted and had cushions made to match in with the rest of the home. The use of the pine blanket box and chest of draws really brings to room together.

One of Kate's favourite pieces of  furniture is one that She and her husband 'saved'. It was in an old Partridge shed on a farm and was covered in red tartan and a lot of mess and they loving restored it and have it in the adults sitting room. She had it covered in a gorgeous blue tweed and has given it new life.

The rest of the house flows beautifully and the the small details show through it.

In the children's playroom the homemade bunting hangs above this lovely playing space. With art work on the walls and toys all over the floor, this room is exactly how it should be.

The children's bedrooms also house some gorgeous features. Tutus hanging off doors and beautiful baby blankets are displayed.

One of my favourite places in the house is the laundry room where Kate's chosen decor is art work of the children's, notices and everything that a family would accumulate.

Kate's house is beautifully decorated and has plenty of space for her family and friends. She feels that the rooms where most of life happens are the most homely. The 'lived in' feel really complements this house.

This is a lovely house to start our feature with. I hope it has inspired many thoughts and has allowed you to see how some simple details can look very effective.
