*Love Lincoln* ~ Follie ~

*Love Lincoln* ~ Follie ~

I have decided to feature a lot more Independent shops that Lincoln has to offer to show our readers what lovely places we have. I have previously written about Daisy Made Ice CreamBunty's Tea Room, Goodies Sweet Shop, Top To Bottom Accessories and The Arbour which are all shops situated in Lincoln, some around the Steep Hill area. This post's shop is one that has been in the main part of Lincoln Bailgate for 10 years now. It is the lovely Follie which houses beautiful gifts and home accessories for you to fill your home with. My mum and I have had many lovely bits from Follie over the years and in the last couple of years Follie Home has opened right next door selling home wear and more lovely treasures. These two shops now show off reclaimed furniture, beautiful china wear, decorations, jewellery, bags, scarves and hearts a plenty!
Josie the owner sits and makes a lot of the Lavender filled hearts and also offers a service to personalise them. One of my favourite wedding gifts was a lavender heart from Follie that a friend had our names put on. It has sat above our bed since we got it over 5 years ago! Many of my Christmas tree decorations are from there as well and countless other bits and pieces too.
I thought I would share some pictures of what they have to offer. It is most definitely a little shop worth popping into if you are in Lincoln.

Another nice thing about Follie is that they stock a couple of local talents in their homewear ranges. L&S Interiors do beautiful soft furnishings including bags, notebooks, decorations, and much more. They also stock Sophie Allport who designs beautiful prints that adorn crockery, table dressings, kitchen wear and lots of other lovely things. One of my favourite prints is her Christmas deer. My Mum bought me a table runner in this print that it will feature closer to Christmas. It is beautiful!!

One of the biggest ranges that Follie offers are all different forms of Christmas Decorations. So many lovely baubles and hangings that can decorate all homes.

And when you think there is no more, they are also stockist of Farrow and Ball paint and a selection of fabric and haberdashery pieces.

In preparation for Christmas I bought some of their handmade, lavender filled hanging baubles to sit either side of the fire place on the door knobs. These will be a perfect little accessory to the room this year. And some wooden letter tags I bought a few weeks ago will look fab tied to our stocking so St. Nick knows whose is whose!!
