Love Lincoln - Stokes 'Members' Choice' Coffee

Love Lincoln - Stokes 'Members' Choice' Coffee

We were lucky enough to be sent some 'Stokes Members' Choice' Ground coffee by Lincolnshire Co-op to try from their 'Love Local' range. As a coffee drinker I was delighted to to try this product which had its blends chosen by people in Lincolnshire.

Stokes owner Nick Peel said: ''The coffee is a blend of Fairtrade Arabica beans from Columbia, Honduras & Bolivia...People have regional tastes & the water hardness can affect the flavour too so it really is a blend perfectly suited to local people.''

After our morning swimming lesson with the kids on Saturday, I decided to make myself a cafetiere of coffee & relax for a bit. What a lovely way to just take a breath for a minute & this coffee is extremely tasty. I managed to drink a large cafetiere to myself. It is a medium roast, which some might think is weak, but if you want it stronger, just put a couple of extra scoops in. We also had it to follow our Saturday evening meal with some friends who thoroughly enjoyed it & for Sunday breakfast so it definitely went down well in our household.

Drinking and enjoying a local product also has a lot more perks. It is nice to know that this is available so easily to Lincolnshire folk via the Lincolnshire Co-op who now stock it in their local range and of course there are many cafes who stock Stokes products so it is easy to get your hands on this local blend. If you wanted a real treat, pop onto Lincoln high street to the Stokes Coffee house.
