Homemade Pallet Wood Candle Box

Homemade Pallet Wood Candle Box

I wanted a 'skinny' way to display candles on the dining table as ours is such a narrow table. We often find that putting things like flowers on the table results in us moving them aside when we eat then popping them back in the central place.
I had seen similar table centres on Pintrest and then thought up how we could make something with scraps of wood that we had.
We used 3 lengths of wood from a pallet and as I wanted it rustic I didn't sand them or do anything to clean them up. We cut them to 70cm long so it didn't look too big on the table.
Rob screwed the two side pieces to one laying flat. The off cuts he then used to put on the short ends to create the box shape.
And that was it.

I only had 4 pillar candles at home but you could fill it if you wanted to and I have just used some Eucalyptus, Rosemary and Wax Flower placed in between each candle. There is no water in it so these will just dry, but you can just freshen it up every time you want to use it.

This will be beautiful going into the Autumn and would be lovely at Christmas with Spruce and Holly in, and it shouldn't take up to much room on the table!
