Basket Bags Are All The Rage

There is always a 'something' and this year it seems that we cannot get enough of Basket bags. I for one already have too many, but as I find them incredibly practical and beautiful it is already a win win scenario!

For me, my love for them started last year when they were far too expensive, but I knew I wanted one. I actually got myself a lovely big open basket which was used all summer and appeared in many photo shoots. This year however, I have not only bought myself a few but I have been gifted the most gorgeous ones also. This large round one in particular is my favourite and having no obligation to share this on here I seriously want to as to be honest, it really is a wonderful piece to add to my collection. 

I think what we all love is their simplicity and that itself draws us to them. I am sure I am not the only one who feels they are off to the market as I walk along swinging it. That in itself is a nice emotion, the simple, rustic life which takes us away from the usual madness. Anyway, for this season the basket bag seems the main accessory, whether it's worn with jeans and a striped tee or with beautiful striped shirt dresses, a basket seems to be all the extra you need.

For me, any bottomless pit bag is usually a no-go. I hate carrying round all the extra clutter, but in this case I am loving the extra space to throw my camera into and actually, if you have a basket bag, it seems the bigger the better!

What's more, this share is perfect for mixing into my wardrobe at the moment. I am loving wearing my monkey skirt from H&M in the autumn, with this new light green jumper, the shades are so perfect together.
