Feeling Blue {Ft. Great Plains} #stealmystyle

I think if there has ever been a colour that has over populated my wardrobe it would be blue. I absolutely love it and navy blue is up there as the best. Having recently worn quite a bit of baby blue it's nice to have a change of shade and opt for something that I find really suits me. Recently, I was reintroduced to Great Plains and after not considering them for years after thinking they were frumpy, I can safely say my head has been turned and if I only had to shop with them for the rest of my life I would be very happy. Not only are they totally on trend, their fabrics feel luxurious and rich and the cuts are right up my street.
Having had the chance to look through their new SS17 collection and pick my favourite pieces I found an outfit which I popped on the other day and quite simply adored.

First, I want to talk about these jersey pleated cullots and just how perfect these are for every kind of event imaginable. First teamed with white plimsoles these will keep you cool through the summer days but dress them up with sparkly flats or heels, you can wear these for just about any occasion. They are silky soft and flow beautifully around your ankles. Perfect complement to the very trendy mules that are all over the place too.

Teamed with this beautiful open back fluted sleeve top the simple elegance of cream and blue really stand out, then topped with this stunning lace bomber jacket the outfit is complete.

What I love most about this is the ease of it. Pull it all on, add some rose gold jewellery and you are winning. With your summer tan this blue is just going to pop and you will feel effortlessly cool!

  1. You look spectacular!!! Stop covering your face!! I love reading and looking up the British/European brands that you post. Sometimes they are available in the US, others not. Still fun to see and read about. I really miss Laura Ashley, I actually worked for them in college. All the US stores closed in 2000 or 2001. Keep up the great work!

  2. Monica, Thank you so much, You obviously see my attempts and my lack of self confidence! I bet its hard seeing things sometimes and not being able to have them! I get like that though, loads of popular make up brands are american and you see all the vloggers using them but they just end up becoming to expensive to buy and have sent overseas. Hope you find inspiration though and can create similar looks with what you have! Emily xx
